Spiritual Energy is the pillar that connects us to our higher selves, humanity, and nature. It is not positive or negative but neutral, operating as a balancing mechanism that directs the other energy pillars in the body.
Have you ever been around someone who drains your energy? That is a result of low Spiritual Energy levels.
1. Tune into and follow your heart’s guidance
Spiritual energy is your inner guidance system fueling the other pillars and guiding your thoughts, feelings, choices, and actions. It is based on values, purpose, wisdom and intuition.
It’s important to tune into and follow your heart’s guidance as much as possible. This will help you become more receptive to blessings, hope, joy and love.
A good way to start is by looking back on times when you followed your hunches and see where it led you. Then, practice listening to your intuition and working with synchronicity (noticing repeating numbers, hearing the perfect song at the right time, opening books to the exact page, etc.). You will soon learn to recognize your heart’s language. Just like gravity, you will come to trust it.
2. Practice meditation
Spiritual energy is the most subtle type of energy and it correlates closely with our emotions. It’s the pillar that fuels our connection to humanity, nature and something greater than ourselves.
It’s also the pillar that allows us to tap into our values, purpose and wisdom. When we’re in alignment with our values, life feels meaningful and joyful.
To increase your spiritual energy, meditate daily. You can start by focusing on the sensation of your breath. If your mind wanders, gently bring it back to the sensation of your breath. Try to create a comfortable, soothing meditation space and build a ritual around the practice so it becomes a consistent part of your day. This will help you develop the discipline needed to practice regularly.
3. Practice self-care
The benefits of practicing self-care are countless and varied. When you are able to fill your own well of energy it is easier for you to manage stress and anxiety, engage with others in a healthy way, think clearly and stay energised.
Spiritual self-care may look like a variety of things: Practicing a faith or belief system, meditating, engaging in prayer or reflection, expressing your feelings through a journal or confiding with trusted friends, maintaining interests outside of the relationship, etc.
Ultimately, your practice of self-care is what is uniquely you and it doesn’t have to cost you a thing! Just like gravity, it is there. All you need to do is take notice. Then, be sure to practice it regularly! Your health is worth it.
4. Connect with your higher self
This can be done using a simple meditation technique involving breath work and visualization. Find a quiet and comfortable space, close your eyes, and imagine that pure positive energy is flowing through you. It is nourishing every cell and fibre of your body.
When you feel a connection to this higher power, ask for guidance. Guidance will usually come in the form of an inner knowing. It will also be loving, reassuring, and encouraging. The best part is that this guidance comes without any worry or pressure and is always for the highest good of everyone involved.
When you connect to this divine energy, you can align with your truth and rediscover the infinite potential that is your true essence. This will bring about a deep sense of peace and fulfillment.
5. Invest in relationships that make you feel safe
Spiritual energy can be spent in service to others, and it is renewed by relationships that make us feel seen and loved. We can also tap into our spiritual energy through deep connection to nature and a sense of purpose. It is important to identify and invest our energies into what matters most to us. This helps to align our actions and decisions with our values, and allows our energy to flow freely within and through us.
As in finance, each wise investment in spiritual currency yields comfort and healing, resulting in greater faith and understanding, and enabling us to invest even more in the future. Let go of any grudges or trauma that drain your spiritual energy, and invest in nourishing relationships instead.
