What is Spiritual Energy?

Spiritual Energy is a feeling of joy, light, and love that permeates your consciousness. People who have this energy experience a deeper connection with their souls and The Source.

It’s also known as qi in Chinese philosophy and medicine, prana in yogic meditation and practice, or the flow state that Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi discovered.

It’s a Force

In spirituality, energy is often referred to as spirit. It’s the universal life force that connects us all. Some believe this energy is the essence of our souls.

Those who have experienced this energy say it’s an intangible, yet powerful force that can be channeled through meditation and other spiritual practices. This energy can also be tapped into through certain physical items, like crystals. Ancient items tend to hold a lot of spiritual energy, as they have had many uses over the years and are full of history and stories of their own.

Spiritual talkers use words like ki and chi to describe this energy. I think it’s an unfortunate choice, since energy has a well-defined meaning in physics and satisfies very real laws, such as E=mc2. I would prefer people to use the word “life force” or something more appropriate for ethereal realities.

It’s a Feeling

When people have spiritual awakenings, they suddenly can feel a whole new range of sensations. They may feel the wattage of light, colours and other people’s energies increase, or they could find that their intuition is stronger than ever. It’s a sign that the ways they’ve tried to numb or suppress these sensitivities are falling away, and they’re becoming more available for them to hone.

Then, there’s the feeling of bliss and happiness that many have experienced as a result of their spiritual awakening. It’s a sense of contentment and joy that permeates every action they take.

You’ll often hear about this energy being portrayed as auras in art and literature, or it can be seen through Kirlian photography. When you’re more settled in your spiritual growth, it’ll become easier to recognise these feelings and where they are coming from, such as if you’re receiving female spirits on the right side of your head and males on the left.

It’s a Power

The universe around us holds an immense amount of energy, and we can tap into it when we align with its flow. This energy gives us the ability to heal, inspire, create, and change. It also provides guidance and support. It’s no wonder people with spiritual energy have a palpable goodness that goes far beyond some “warm and fuzzy aura.”

You can use your own power word to invoke spiritual energy within you, or find one that feels right to you and focus on it. When you do, you can feel the vibrational force of that word vibrating through your whole system, including your physical body, mind and spirit.

Practice regular spiritual practice to keep yourself clear, vibrant and magnetized to attract divine frequencies. Develop your intuition and learn to navigate energy exchange artfully through lived experience, balancing generosity with healthy boundaries. And most importantly, shine your light! The world needs it. So don’t be afraid to share your gifts!

It’s a Way of Being

For millennia, ancient civilizations have cultivated spiritual energy as a way of life. They’ve referred to this invisible force by many names: Qi, Ki, Prana, Pneuma, Mana.

This energy exists everywhere in the universe, and it’s a vital part of all living things. Many traditions describe it as a force that animates living beings and permeates the cosmos. Its ideas overlap with religious, medical, and mystical frameworks, and influence practices ranging from healing to spiritual enlightenment.

Like electromagnetic waves such as radiowaves, microwaves, and soundwaves, spiritual energy also has a physical vibration. But this energy vibrates much slower than our physical world, which is why it’s hard to perceive with the senses alone.

Fortunately, there are a few methods that help people perceive spiritual energy. One is Kirlian photography, which produces photographs of a person or object that appear as glowing auras. Another is the practice of expressing kindness and compassion, which has been shown to boost happiness, increase concentration, and clear your intuition.
