Wellness Consciousness

Wellness consciousness involves learning how to balance the several natural dimensions of life. It includes physical, social, emotional and spiritual well-being.

This study mainly explores the influence path of health consciousness on home-based exercise during the pandemic of COVID-19 via health life goal and perceived behavioral control. It is worth mentioning that other mediating factors could be explored in future studies.

1. Increased productivity

Wellness programs aren’t just about helping employees avoid illness and stress. They also increase productivity. This is especially true when these programs address the root causes of poor performance, such as a lack of energy or emotional support.

A wellness consciousness can teach you to focus on healthy activities and develop a disciplined mind. It can help you overcome obstacles and stick to your goals despite setbacks. It can also improve your self-esteem and strengthen your belief systems.

The purpose of this study is to explore the influencing mechanism of health consciousness on home-based exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results showed that health life goal and perceived behavioral control mediate the relationship between health consciousness and home-based exercise. These findings suggest that people should attach importance to the formation of their health life goal and enhance their perception of behavioral control in order to keep healthy behaviors during the pandemic. This will promote health and contribute to the community.

2. Better relationships

Being health-conscious makes you more aware of your emotions and mood, so you tend to communicate with people in a natural way. This helps you develop better relationships with your family, friends, and colleagues. Additionally, you learn to accept your weaknesses and make an effort to improve yourself. These are the ingredients for healthy relationships, which in turn lead to increased productivity and enhanced problem-solving skills. In addition, the health life goal mediates the relationship between wellness consciousness and home-based exercise.

3. Better health

People with high wellness consciousness take measures to improve their health by avoiding unhealthy habits like smoking, eating junk food and excessively using social media. They also exercise regularly and sleep enough to maintain their physical health. This results in better overall health due to the positive effects of wellness on the body and mind.

Another benefit of being more health conscious is that it teaches you self-discipline, which is important for staying healthy. Having this discipline will help you stick to your routine, even during times of stress or when you feel overwhelmed. This can lead to a healthier life because it prevents you from giving up on your goals.

Wellness is a multidimensional concept and explores the relationship between different aspects of well-being such as physical, intellectual, emotional, environmental and spiritual wellness. It’s also holistic, meaning that it looks at the whole person rather than treating individual symptoms or diseases. For example, if your mental health is poor, it will likely affect your physical health.

4. A happier life

Getting happy has a lot to do with what you value most. For example, values like respect, love, humor, and compassion bring more happiness than anger, jealousy and frustration. Happiness also has a lot to do with what you give. Giving more often leads to more happiness than taking more.

Wellness consciousness enables you to practice healthy behaviors that improve your well-being. This helps you to develop a positive outlook and achieve a sense of self-discipline. As a result, you’re less likely to abandon your health goals and become unhappy again.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, improving health consciousness can help you to exercise at home. The mediating effects of the study revealed that health consciousness indirectly influences home-based exercise through promoting a healthy lifestyle, enhancing perceived behavioral control and encouraging people to exercise. These results indicate that the study is significant and worth pursuing. In addition, the study provides a framework that can guide future studies on this topic.
