How to Tap Into Spiritual Energy

Spiritual Energy is the energy of consciousness that makes a person alive. It is called holy spirit in the Bible and referred to as dynamis or dunamis in modern spiritual teachings.

Those with a strong spiritual connection or who are on a journey of spiritual enlightenment are more familiar with this type of energy. They are able to feel it within themselves and see its presence around others.

Meditation

The best way to tap into spiritual energy is through meditation. This involves becoming aware of your thoughts, emotions and the physical body and letting them pass through you instead of being absorbed by them.

You can do this on your own, or you can seek out a meditation teacher to help guide you through the process. There are many different forms of meditation, ranging from breathing exercises to repeating a mantra over and over. Some studies show that regular meditation can increase brain grey matter, improve intelligence and creativity, and reduce heart rate, blood pressure, cholesterol and the buildup of plaque in the arteries.

It’s important to support your spirit by giving your body, mind and soul what they need. This includes exercising your body by drumming, dancing or playing sports; exploring your spirituality through meditation or prayer; and feeding your mind by following your curiosities. Lastly, make sure you allow your intuition to guide you.

Kindness

One of the most transformative forms of spiritual energy is loving kindness. It is the ability to feel compassion and empathy for others and yourself.

Research shows that practicing loving-kindness meditation reduces stress, anxiety, and depression while enhancing positive emotions such as joy and gratitude. This helps develop emotional resilience, which is a critical component to spiritual growth and well-being.

Studies also show that kindness increases our sense of connection to others, reduces loneliness, combats low mood and strengthens relationships. Additionally, it encourages a mindset of non-judgement that promotes acceptance and tolerance.

When engaging in acts of kindness, the brain releases serotonin and dopamine which stimulate our reward and pleasure centers, similar to how drugs like morphine affect the body. Furthermore, the benefits of being kind are contagious and can spread through social networks. There is even a “group” energetic field that can form between people who are being kind. This is called a “we-field.” These we-fields are associated with increased feelings of belonging, contentment and empathy for others.

Community Building

The spirit of love and compassion is what helps us to connect with others in a meaningful way. Community building is one of the ways we can cultivate this energy within our lives.

When groups engage in community building, members often find that they have a natural cohesiveness that is exhibited in the level of respect for individual differences, a deep, respectful listening, an ability to lean toward difficult issues with care, softened (respectful) conflict, and a greater capacity for emotional and spiritual healing.

Keeping community happenings on a predictable schedule is important for community development. This keeps people engaged and makes them more likely to save room in their busy schedules to participate. It’s also helpful to plan activities that appeal to a wide audience, as this allows more people to discover common ground and build connection. Emptiness is the stage that bridges the gap to Community, and it characterized by letting go of barriers that prevent group members from being fully present and honest in their communication.

Intuition

Whether you’re an artist, businessperson or simply seeking to improve your wellbeing, intuition can benefit you in many ways. For example, you may use your intuitive knowledge to identify and challenge self-defeating beliefs or to grasp that winning business idea.

Intuition is a feeling of immediate knowledge, understanding or awareness that comes without reasoning or perception and usually with a sense of certainty. Scientists have found that brain regions involved in emotional processing, memory and pattern recognition are activated during intuition.

It’s important to practice listening to your intuition. It can help to ask yourself questions throughout the day, such as “How do I feel?” and to act on those intuitive feelings when they come up. It also helps to spend time in stillness and quiet, such as taking a walk or meditation. Those with strong intuitive powers recharge often and are able to tune into their own internal voice. They also seek solitude when they need to and listen to their body’s subtle signals (butterflies in the stomach, goose bumps etc). Then, it is just a case of acting on that intuition.
