Spirit energy is an invisible force that interacts with everything. It can be positive or negative, depending on what it encounters.
This energy flows within and around the physical body. It cleanses karma, clears imbalances in the biology and transforms the human being into a Light vessel. It can also be draining.
1. Focus on the positive
The easiest way to boost your spiritual energy is to focus on the positive. It’s not always easy – we may be hardwired to dwell on the negative, but making a conscious effort to think positively actually helps you build new neural pathways in your brain.
Some people find it easier to see the positive than others, and for those of you who struggle, there are various methods that have been shown to help. Practicing meditation, surrounding yourself with positive people and environments, exercising regularly and performing acts of kindness are all great ways to raise your spiritual energy levels.
Another great way to increase your spiritual energy is to focus on the present moment. It’s a practice known as mindfulness, and it’s been scientifically proven to reduce stress and boost happiness. Mindfulness is achieved through meditation, yoga and the state of flow, a concept coined by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi.
2. Let go of the negative
Gratitude journaling, mindfulness and meditation, physical activity, expressing love, and reaching out to friends or a professional can help you get your negative emotions under control. But the most important thing to remember is that it’s not about eliminating negativity but rather finding a healthy balance.
Negative thoughts can take many forms such as anger, fear, resentment, frustration and sadness. These can affect your daily life and, if left unchecked, can lead to long-term health problems. The first step to letting go is becoming aware of these negative thoughts, then confronting them. You can do this by identifying them and writing them down. This allows you to create a dialogue between you and your unhelpful thoughts, which can help to reduce their grip.
It’s also important to remember that feelings like bliss and oneness come and go, and they are not to be held onto. They can feel like a huge relief when they happen, but it’s important to realise that they aren’t permanent.
3. Take time out
If you’re feeling drained, spend some time focusing on your spiritual energy. This can be done through breathwork, visualisation and more.
This energy is what makes us alive and it has a close affiliation with our emotions. You can think of it as the non-ordinary awakened consciousness you have access to when you feel inspired or happy, it is like a light within your heart and can be translated in many different ways.
When you’re able to connect with this energy, you are able to tap into a deeper sense of connection, empowerment and alignment with your true self. To do this you need to take the time to quieten your mind and the five senses and get back into a state of flow, like you experience when immersed in a good book, music or a walk in nature. This is the best way to connect with your spiritual energy and feel it build within you.
4. Visualise
The human spirit is a source of spiritual energy. We can access this energy through spiritual practices like meditation, breathing and visualization. This energy allows us to connect with our intuition, feel the emotions of others and see what is going on around us.
To build your spiritual energy, visualise warm, healing light entering the top of your head and slowly moving down through each body part. Feel the energy soothe any tension and discomfort – this is how it helps to promote relaxation and wellbeing.
You can play with this visualisation by adding in colours of gold for a cosmic link or pink for love, and so on. Some people like to visualize this energy connecting down into the Earth and up to the universe, and some even go as far as imagining it connecting through other star systems! Just remember to be gentle with your energy and not force it to change. It takes time to build energy, and your unconscious will respond to the language it speaks best – so be patient!
